Sophie's first CNY.

Oh my oh my. now. where do i begin?

Sophie first got really anxious and curious when she saw the entire family bustling about, busying ourselves with cny prep. Little did she know that she's coming along with us.

Bringing her into the car was... a mini hurdle. She doesn't really like the car i think. Refused to just climb in like matthan did. (i think a lot of it is due to her puking the last time she had a car ride). Carried her in in the end. All's well though. She looked out of the window, climbed over me, sat in between mum and i... all's well. So off to maternal grandma's we go.

At maternal grandma's, everyone was really nice to her. She had her little corner near the door, overcame her fear of kids (thanks to my nephews) and.... refused to climb down steps. She's still not confident enough to climb down steps on a regular basis. I think only a huge treat at the bottom of the flight of steps will move her.

Then off to paternal grandma's. All's well in the car again. HIghlights of paternal grandma's included socks stealing and indian man socialising (this is her first time coming into contact with an Indian) She was a little scared at first. But thankfully the indian guy had dogs before, so he knew how to handle her. Again, treats did the trick. =)

THEN. the ride home. Well, one minute she was close to snoozing on my lap. The next, she was puking into my hand. =( ... poor little girl, and poor hand. Hand still smells. i wonder what it is about puke that makes the smell seem to stay forever. And poor girl. She's motion sick.... sleeping now at home though. But the mess was.... well. messy...
